The Glenholm Centre |
We realize that food can be a very important part of an enjoyable stay. The Glenholm Centre prides itself in providing farmhouse cooking at its best. Indeed the AA have recognised Fiona's exceptional cooking with awards for both a very special breakfast and dinner. From the moment you arrive when we offer you a cup of tea or coffee and some home baking, until you leave after a hearty breakfast, we will try to make sure we are catering for your culinary requirements. All meals are prepared from fresh and most are served buffet style in our dining room, which has spectacular views up the glen towards the hills of Chapelgill and Cardon.
DinnerDinner consists of a three course meal with a choice of two dishes per course. Starters are served to table with the remainder of the meal served buffet style. We try to accommodate all tastes and preferences and catering for such diets as gluten free or dairy free are not a problem. Vegetarians are well catered for, with at least one of the options each evening being vegetarian. As all dishes are prepared on the premises, Fiona can tell you exactly what goes into each dish. If you have any dietary restrictions, just let us know. We don’t have a set menu, Fiona will customize the menu according to the preferences of the guests dining, the season and the availability of ingredients. In the panel to the right is a sample menu of what you might expect.
BreakfastThe breakfast buffet has a choice of fruit juices, fruit, cereals, porridge and yogurts. There are home-baked scones and muffins, home baked bread and a wide choice of jams and preserves. The cooked menu has a choice of 10 items with everything cooked to order. We have a range of teas or a cafetiere of coffee to drink.
Snacks and LunchesFor snacks and meals throughout the day, the Glenholm Wildlife Project tearoom is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM. The tea room serves a range of light meals and home-baking and more details can be fond on the project website.
